Intugo Announces Expansion in Ciudad Obregón
HERMOSILLO, Mexico – Feb. 28, 2018 – Intugo announced its operation expansion in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico, during an event. This expansion is part of Intugo’s strategy to serve its latest client, Onelink BPO. Ciudad Obregón, the main city in Cajeme County, South Sonora, will benefit from this investment.
Intugo’s New Investment
Intugo expects this new investment to create 400 jobs initially, with plans to add 800 more jobs within 12 months. Onelink BPO, a key player in the contact center industry in Central and South America, aims to serve its Latin American clients through this new center.
Event Highlights and Key Attendees
The announcement took place at the State of Sonora’s City Hall in Hermosillo. The Governor of Sonora, Ms. Claudia Pavlovich, personally welcomed Onelink to the state. She emphasized the economic growth Ciudad Obregón (Cajeme) is experiencing.
“The most important thing is to maintain trust and communication. I’m sure Cajeme will be a source of pride and economic growth,” she said. “400 young professionals, with a goal of 1,200, will have the opportunity to grow personally and in their careers.”
Strategic Partnership Of Intugo and Onelink
Intugo, alongside the Governor, was joined by Onelink representatives and influential dignitaries. These included the Secretary of Economy of the State of Sonora, Jorge Vidal, and the Mayor of Cajeme, Faustino Félix.
Community and Industry Impact
Jorge Vidal Ahumada, Secretary of Economy, highlighted the importance of such companies. “It’s very important because there are already 121 companies operating in the information technology industry in Sonora,” he said. “The workforce and capital investment are crucial.”
Support from Technological Institute of Sonora (ITSON)
Felix Tonella Platt, Intugo’s general manager, commented on the support from ITSON. “The new expansion will be located in the SonoraSoft Technology Park, with ITSON as a key player,” he said. “This announcement is very important for us. Intugo has been in the contact center and software development industry for 12 years, with 2,000 employees in Sonora.”

Walter Roulet Carrillo, OneLink’s Country Manager, thanked Governor Pavlovich. “I would like to thank the State of Sonora for receiving OneLink with great enthusiasm and giving us the necessary support to open our operations,” he said. “This helps us promote employment and strengthen business relationships.”
